I am also the owner and designer behind the brand Fabulous Creations. What started out as a hobby over 10 years ago turned into my full time work and I couldn’t be happier.
I’ve always had a creative soul from a child, loving to create art projects and going to ceramics classes. I dabbled in several creative outlets over the years such as floral arrangement, abstract painting and wall art, fabric wedding and baby albums to Christmas ornaments. But it wasn’t until 2008, when I went on a trip to the small island of St. Croix for my 20th wedding anniversary. I stumbled upon a cute little shop where I met a woman who moved there from the states and opened up her own handcrafted jewelry shop. Her designs were so unique and beautiful. My husband bought me one of her pendants (photo shown below) and I immediately feel in love with the art of jewelry and gemstones.
When I returned home, I began doing research on gemstones and their properties, suppliers and techniques. I began setting up at craft shows and then found a place on Etsy. At the time, I was a full time real estate agent and was doing my jewelry on the side and weekends at shows. Soon it began growing so much that it was over taking my real estate work. I also realized I loved working my jewelry business more than my real estate business and that was when I made the decision to go full force with my own business. Since then, I have started my own website FabulousCreations.org , have a second Etsy shop geared towards weddings and am on Amazon Handmade.
I love what I do and so happy I get to follow my passion. My love for natural gemstones has grown and I still get excited when a new shipment of stones come in. They are so beautiful and unique just like each one of us.
