Hi Ladies! Need to get this out….my name is Gina and I have a tea addiction. Ok, now that that’s out of the way….let’s talk about why I love tea so much and the good benefits of drinking a cup of tea.
I’ve always drank tea from a child and never really acquired a taste for coffee. I do drink coffee every once in a while, but honestly I don’t really enjoy the taste. Plus the calories of cream…I drink my teas plain because I want to actually taste and enjoy the flavors. Over 15 years ago I became more into natural remedies and alternatives and that’s when I began exploring and researching more about the benefits of tea.
I drink tea everyday all day. Mostly green tea but I’ll mix one or two others in during the course of the day. Green Tea contains compounds and minerals that can help improve overall health such as reduce inflammation in the body, cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of certain cancers. <Source> It’s also known to help in weight loss because it increases metabolism, helps fight bacteria for dental health and increase longevity. And, you can also apply it to your skin for anti aging benefits. Sounds good to me!
Another tea I enjoy is Earl Grey. I sometimes drink that first thing in the morning as my caffeine booster. Earl Grey is not an herbal tea but a traditional black tea infused with the flavors of bergamot orange. Earl Grey has a bright, refreshing and citrusy flavor. Some of the benefits of Earl Grey includes keeping your immune system strong because of the antioxidants, maintain healthy cholesterol levels and help to ease stress and anxiety. <Source>
Recently I’ve been enjoying this DeTox Tea. Detoxing is very important for overall health. Helps to clear intestinal tract that can make you feel bloated and sluggish and can also help with skin. When toxins are trapped in the body, they need to find a way out and sometimes it’s through your skin. I found this berry blend in my local supermarket. It has a good berry taste with just a slight medicinal taste.
This blend of blueberries and aloe is another favorite blend of mine. Aloe is known to help with radiant skin blended with antioxidants of blueberries.
I just had to try this one since I love macarons. This has a very light taste. I’ll sometimes have this in the middle of the afternoon if I need a little pick me up. It contains a lower amount of caffeine.
Lastly, I usually always end my day with a cup of chamomile tea at night before bed. It helps me relax and fall asleep easier. These are my favorites.
There’s just something about tea that is so comforting and soothing. I hope you found some helpful information and maybe the desire to try a new tea. Share what your favorite tea is in comments. Have a beautiful day 🙂
